Citrus from Mazandaran province popular in Oman

According to an official at Oman's Ministry of Agriculture, citrus from in Iran’s Mazandaran province have been highly welcomed by the Omani. Vice Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries Ahmed Al-Bakri expressed his country's readiness to import more citrus, kiwi fruit, rice and other products from Mazandaran.

The citrus fruits and kiwi fruits and other agricultural products produced in this northern province of Iran have no competitors in the markets of Oman and are highly welcomed by consumers in the country, the vice minister added. According to the statistics, three million tons of high-quality citrus fruits are produced in this Iranian province annually, 36,000 tons of which have so far been exported overseas this year.
