Woman received a potato as Christmas bonus

Amanda J Panda, a US employee, humorously revealed on X (formerly Twitter) her unusual Christmas bonus: a potato. Marking an improvement from last year's mundane 30-minute leadership video conference, this year's bonus came with a twist - the potato, valued at $15, is taxable on her next paycheck. The post sparked a variety of humorous and sarcastic comments from users.

Jokes included references to "potato taxpayer" and equating potatoes to currency. Amidst the light-hearted responses, there was astonishment at the taxation of such a small, edible item. This led Amanda to comically consider looking for a new job.
