In December, in the EU, the average prices of the four major producers came out at €94 per 100 kgs, which is €39 higher than the monthly 5-year minimum and €24 higher than the monthly 5-year average.
The EU apple production forecast for the 2023/24 season stands at a total of 11,411,000 tons, with Poland, Italy and France still providing the main portions.
