Dole Food Company enhances operations in Delaware with expanded service at Port Wilmington

Enstructure, a prominent American marine terminal, and logistics firm, alongside Dole Food Company, have publicized the broadening of Dole's shipping operations at Port Wilmington, Delaware. This involves the introduction of an additional weekly service, escalating the import capacity of tropical fresh fruits, including Dole's branded produce, and assorted cargo from Colombia, Honduras, and Guatemala to the Mid-Atlantic region.

Enstructure's Co-CEOs, Matthew Satnick and Philippe De Montigny, expressed their enthusiasm for Dole's continued expansion, a key collaborator at Port Wilmington for over four decades. They commended Dole's commitment to operational excellence and growth, which has been evident since Enstructure took over the port's operations in July 2023. They believe Dole's new service will spur further investment in the port's infrastructure and strengthen the local workforce.

Nelson Montoya, President of Dole Fresh Fruit North America, stated that the added service, backed by Enstructure, is set to make their premium, fresh produce more accessible, aligning with their mission to contribute to a healthier world. The new service, which commenced on December 31, 2023, will employ an extra 1,200 FEU container vessel, rotating between Port Wilmington and South America.
