Solihull apple grower received cuttings from Highways Officers from apple tree growing in the central reservation

Rhys Davies, an apple enthusiast, was pleasantly surprised by the response he received from National Highways and bmJV, a team working on road safety, to his unique request. He had noticed an interesting apple tree growing near the M42/M40 interchange and inquired about the apple species and the possibility of obtaining a cutting. The road crews not only identified the apples but also collected fruit and cuttings for him.

When Rhys visited the site compound, he was impressed by the quantity and quality of the cuttings provided. This experience, which he initially thought would be ignored, highlighted exceptional customer service and left Rhys optimistic about future interactions with National Highways. The incident was seen as a testament to human kindness and the importance of good customer service.
