The International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA) has announced the appointment of Jane Strijdom as its Country Manager for South Africa. Strijdom assumes the responsibility of fostering strategic relationships in the fresh produce sector in Southern Africa.
As IFPA's primary liaison in South Africa, Strijdom is committed not only to serving existing members but also to attracting new members to the association. She emphasised that IFPA welcomes everyone involved in the fresh produce industry, highlighting the association's inclusive approach to serving the entire supply chain. "IFPA is the only fresh produce association that serves the entire fresh produce supply chain, so everyone is welcome."
IFPA is about providing member value and connecting people in the industry," she said. IFPA can assist local companies with a wide array of services, ranging from market access to retail information and local and international trends.
Strijdom will also oversee all IFPA Southern Africa events during the year. The first event, Fresh Solutions, will be held at Cavalli Estate in Stellenbosch on 13 March from 09h00 – 13h00. The main conference of the year is the Southern Africa Conference from 5-6 August at Century City.
