In the first five months of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 7,739 tons of hazelnuts, generating a revenue of $47,458,000. This information was reported by ABC.AZ, citing the State Customs Committee.
Compared to the same period last year, the export value of hazelnuts increased by $7,179,000, or 13%, and the export volume grew by 3,341 tons, or 30%. For the first five months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 11,030 tons of hazelnuts worth $54,638,000.
The average export price for 1 kg of hazelnuts in the first five months of 2024 was $6.13, reflecting a $1.20 (24%) increase from the average price during the same period last year, which stood at $4.93.
