Kyrgyzstan's walnut exports to China reached 4,700 tons

According to data from the General Administration of Customs of China, Kyrgyzstan has exported 4,700 tons of walnuts to China since the beginning of 2024.

The monthly breakdown of these exports is as follows:

  • January: 50 tons
  • February: 597.8 tons
  • March: 921.4 tons
  • April: 2,193.3 tons
  • May: 976.8 tons

In monetary terms, the export of walnuts amounted to $2.2 million. The average price for walnuts supplied to China ranged between $0.4 and $0.5 per kilogram.

It is noteworthy that shelled walnuts were not exported to China; all exported walnuts were in-shell. In 2023, Kyrgyzstan did not export any walnuts to China.
