Oman's Lulu Group has imported 2 tons of fruits from Uzbekistan, as reported by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. An online interface organized by the Uzbek Embassy in Oman on June 26 enabled a partnership between MilMax Group and Lulu Group International's regional office, culminating in the procurement of cherries, peaches, and apricots. These fruits are now available in Lulu's supermarket chains across Muscat and other local outlets.
The shipment adheres to international packaging standards, featuring a quarantine code that traces the products back to their Uzbek origins. Lulu Group International has acknowledged the satisfactory quality, presentation, and taste of the fruits. The collaboration was further emphasized at an Uzbek-Oman business forum and subsequent B2B meetings on July 27. Additionally, a new agreement was signed with Orabi International, allocating 100 square meters at the Muscat Shopping Centre for showcasing Uzbek products, thereby enhancing their market presence in Oman. Orabi International will also support the logistics for direct exports and transit of Uzbek goods through Oman to third-party countries.
