Kyrgyz farmers invited to export fruits and vegetables to major Russian retail chains

Kyrgyzstan's vegetable and fruit producers have a new opportunity to supply their products to major retail chains in Russia. This development was announced by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan (MoA).

The MoA, with support from the Consulate General of Kyrgyzstan in Yekaterinburg, organised an online meeting between Kyrgyz vegetable and fruit producers and retailers from Russia's Sverdlovsk region. The meeting focused on the conditions for supplying fruits and vegetables to prominent retail chains such as "Magnit," "X5 Retail Group," and "Meridian." Representatives from these retail chains expressed interest in receiving regular shipments of fresh produce.

Following the discussions, both parties agreed to further the process by sending a detailed questionnaire to the Russian side. This questionnaire will cover the specifics of supply conditions, including timelines, packaging, calibration, and payment methods.
