Interfresh Eurasia to be held in Izmir - 26 to 28 September

"Turkey serves as an ideal gateway to markets spanning from Russia, Central Asia and Europe to Africa"

The Turkish trade show Interfresh Eurasia will be held in İzmir, between 26-28 September 2024 this year, instead of Antalya. However, that's not the only thing that's new this year, says Murat Özer, general coordinator of the Interfresh Eurasia event: "This year's Interfresh Eurasia stands out due to its remarkable growth, expanding by over 200 percent in terms of both exhibitors and participants. At the visitor side, we'll see visitors from new countries, and as such with new buyers. For the exhibitor side, we have diversified our offerings to not only include fresh produce, but also dried, freeze-dried, frozen and canned goods, along with an array of fruit and vegetable juices and sauces."

Özer feels the diversification will also lead to more visitors working in other sectors, such as logistics and packaging, as well as interest from more countries than before. "As stated, we're focusing on five main categories for Interfresh Eurasia 2024: Fresh and dried fruits and vegetables, freeze-dried products, canned goods and a variety of fruit and vegetable juices, alongside sauces made from this produce. To deliver these products, we will have special sections for logistics, packaging, storage and new technologies on the event as well. Last year, we hosted 2,145 buyers from 44 countries. This year, we've already secured commitments from buyers representing 55 countries and over 30 chain market representatives, indicating a growing global interest in Interfresh as a key trading platform for the fruit and vegetable industry."

According to Özer, the event is also growing in popularity for exhibitors from the Middle East. As such, these exhibitors will have their very own pavilion: "We have gained significant international recognition as an event. Being the first major trade show in the European market post-summer holidays has bolstered our reputation as a premier networking and deal-making platform. We're proud to host exhibitors from various countries, including Middle Eastern nations, who will have their own pavilion. This diversity underscores Interfresh's status as a global platform, featuring not only Turkish goods, but also exotic fruits and cutting-edge machinery from renowned international brands. We have exhibitors from more than ten countries already."

Özer emphasizes that there are many benefits for foreigners wanting to exhibit during Interfresh Eurasia. "Turkey's unique geographical position at the crossroads of Asia and Europe presents unparalleled opportunities for exhibitors. With visa-free access to 117 countries, and Turkish Airlines having direct flights to over 120 countries, Turkey serves as an ideal gateway to markets spanning from Russia, Central Asia and Europe to Africa."

"Participants can anticipate a dynamic environment, filled with opportunities to connect with traders and exhibitors from diverse backgrounds and regions. With government incentives and subsidies further enhancing trade prospects, Interfresh is a must-attend event for industry players. I'd like to emphasize that while this marks the fifth edition of Interfresh, we're celebrating our seventh year in operation. Interfresh has evolved into a premier platform for showcasing fruit and vegetables," Özer concludes.
