Calculating prices for shippers
"Uturn is a one-stop shop for all European road container transport." They use a price calculator to work out a load's exact price by simply entering the pickup location, destination, container size, and transport type. Their platform uses hundreds of thousands of orders to generate that data.
Carriers can bid on orders
Once comprehensively vetted, carriers pay a fixed €69/month to remain active on the platform. They can freely view and bid on orders, after which shippers make a selection. This system often provides market-based prices per kilometre. If transporters are already in the area and can collect a container on their return trip, that price may be even lower.
