Generational shift at NORIKA Ltd in Germany

NORIKA Ltd, based in Groß Lüsewitz, Germany, is undergoing a leadership transition. Wolfgang Walter, the long-serving Managing Director, is set to retire by the end of 2024. Walter, after dedicating over three decades to NORIKA, will transition into a consultative role, offering guidance to both the new management team and the Supervisory Board.

Tigran Richter will continue in his role as Managing Director, overseeing exports and the operations of foreign subsidiaries. His tenure also includes the presidency of Europatat since 2022. Starting 1 July 2024, Fabian Strauß, Theodor Baron von Hahn, and Daniel Westermann will assume their roles within the company's restructured management.

Fabian Strauß, with a background in agricultural sciences and experience as a farm manager, joined NORIKA in 2020 as the General Agricultural Manager. His responsibilities encompass the Agriculture, Real Estate, Renewable Energies, and Purchasing divisions. Theodor Baron von Hahn, after his agricultural studies and initial career in the seed business, will manage the areas of breeding, research, finance, and coordination of the management board. Daniel Westermann, bringing experience from international seed production and sales, will oversee seed production, product management, marketing, and sales.

This leadership renewal aims to ensure NORIKA's continued success in breeding, securing a supply of quality seed potatoes for agriculture, and fostering sustainable growth within the NORIKA Group.
