Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable exports surged by 17.7%

The export of fruits and vegetables from Uzbekistan saw a significant increase in the first seven months of 2024, with the total value reaching $792.3 million. This marks a 17.7% growth compared to the same period in 2023, according to data from the Uzbekistan Statistics Agency.

From January to July this year, Uzbekistan exported over 1.2 million tons of fruits and vegetables, an 8.1% increase compared to the same period last year.

Russia remains the largest market for Uzbek produce, accounting for 43.4% of the total exports. Additionally, there was strong demand from Pakistan and Kazakhstan, each with a 15.3% share, and Afghanistan, which accounted for 4.9%.
