Coinciding with its 25th anniversary, Anecoop Praha will have a turnover of more than €40 million this season

Anecoop opens new facilities in the Czech Republic

Anecoop Group, Spain's leading agri-food cooperative in fruit and vegetable marketing, continues advancing its international expansion. At the end of July, as part of its 25th-anniversary celebrations, its subsidiary in the Czech Republic, Anecoop Praha, inaugurated its new facilities in the Lipence market, the epicenter of the country's wholesale fresh fruit and vegetable trade and a strategic enclave for supplying Eastern European countries.

Anecoop's Governing Board, Aneecoop Praha's Management Committee, Managing Director, and Deputy Managing Director.

Founded in 1999, Anecoop Praha moved to the Lipence market in 2010. Subsequently, given the significant growth in its activity, it acquired this warehouse that, after being reconditioned, has just been inaugurated. The warehouse has a usable area of 1,450 m² and two separate areas where the administrative and operational areas are located. Its location is unique. It is at the main road intersection, very close to the main customers that this subsidiary supplies.

Lipence is a transshipment platform for 55% of trucks transporting fresh fruit and vegetables. Anecoop Praha's new facilities operate as a loading, unloading, quality control, sorting, labeling, and storage center. The distribution of goods to Czech, Slovakian, and Hungarian customers is managed from there.

The inauguration was attended by Anecoop's Governing Council and Management Committee, Anecoop Praha's team, and prominent personalities, such as the commercial advisor of the Spanish Embassy in Prague, Jaime Alcaide, the mayor of Praha 16, Karel Hanzlik, the mayor of Zbraslav, Katerina Pavliková, the mayor Lipence, Lenka Kadlecová, the director of the Lipence market, Alois Lukes, and some of the subsidiary's close customers and partners.

"This represents a new boost for our logistics and service capacity in this important area of activity," stressed Alejandro Monzón, president of Anecoop, who thanked the 27 professionals who make up the Anecoop Praha team for their involvement and motivation. "This opening is a further step in the commitment of our team in the Czech Republic, which has been helping to expand our partners' marketing reach, consequently boosting the internationalization of Anecoop Group, since 1999," stated Ferran Cabrera, the subsidiary's director.
