Holger Brandt steps into strategic role at Agrovision in the US

With over 20 years of experience in worldwide fruit genetics, Holger Brandt joins Agrovision to drive strategic collaborations and accelerate the company's expansion in the superfruit industry.

Agrovision, the healthy superfruit platform and leading large-scale, fully vertically integrated superfruit business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Holger Brandt as Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships. Brandt's extensive experience and proven leadership in the blueberry and fruit genetics industry will be valuable in advancing Agrovision's mission to reshape the superfruit market through cutting-edge innovation and strategic global partnerships.

Brandt's appointment comes at a pivotal moment for Agrovision, as the company intensifies its efforts to build strong relationships with consumers and retailers, bolstered by a recent $100 million equity financing round that valued the company at over $1 billion. With Agrovision's premium blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, and cherries sold under the Fruitist and Big Skye brands in top retailers worldwide, Brandt will lead innovation initiatives and strengthen partnerships across genetics, production for premium supply continuity, and product development. His leadership will support Agrovision at the forefront of the rapidly growing superfruit industry.

Steve Magami, Co-founder and CEO, stated, "Holger is a globally recognized expert in the industry. His focus on strengthening innovation in genetics and further expanding our global production will solidify a key pillar of our value proposition, ensuring our continued growth and leadership in the industry."

Before joining Agrovision, Brandt was the General Manager of the Sekoya Blueberry Program at Fall Creek, where he spearheaded the program's transformation into one of the fastest-growing genetic initiatives in the fruit industry. His leadership was critical in establishing Sekoya as a leader in high-quality blueberry production, enabling its members to supply premium fruit to retailers around the globe.

Brandt commented, "I am excited to bring my experience to Agrovision's rapidly growing platform. Agrovision was a key partner to Sekoya in the commercialization of its new varietals to consumers globally from the start, and I have been working very closely with the team since then. I am truly honored by the confidence and trust placed in me with this position. Now is a time of tremendous opportunity for Agrovision as it scales its leadership in premium blueberries, and begins to replicate its success in blueberries across the produce aisle, and I look forward to helping to drive Agrovision's success forward."

Brandt will be based in Valencia, Spain, and report to Steve Magami, CEO, and Juan Pablo Spoerer, Executive Director, at Agrovision.
