Potato harvest in Belarus continues, with 74,000 tons collected

Harvesting is underway in Belarus, with 74,000 tons of potatoes already gathered. According to Belta and the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, agrarians have started the large-scale collection of this vital crop, often known as the "second bread." Experts view this year's harvest as impressive, with the collected potatoes covering 14% of the planted areas.

The first batches of new potatoes have been stored, and packaging is ongoing, including for export.

Farmers are also actively harvesting other vegetables, with 32,000 tons collected from 39% of the planted fields. Additionally, 508,000 tons of root vegetables have been gathered, with 11% of the fields harvested.
