In January-July 2024, Azerbaijan exported 8,437 tons of watermelons worth $4.018 million. According to ABC.AZ, citing the State Statistical Committee, represents a decrease of $400,000 or 9% in value and 1,298 tons or 13.3% in quantity compared to the same period last year.
In the first seven months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 9,735 tons of watermelons, valued at $4.418 million.
For the same period in 2024, the average export price of watermelon was $0.48 per kilogram, up by 5% from the previous year. In 2023, the price was $0.45 per kilogram.
