National average prices for potatoes in Ireland saw an uptick in the month of August, as reported by the Central Statistics Office (CSO). The cost for a 2.5kg bag of potatoes escalated by 59c, reaching €4.06 in comparison to the same period the previous year. Additionally, the price per kilogram for mushrooms also witnessed an increase during the same timeframe.
