According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Kyrgyzstan exported 77,300 tons of fruits from January to August, which is 2.7 times more than its fruit imports during the same period.
In comparison, fruit imports amounted to 27,900 tons.
The main export products were apricots, with shipments to Russia totalling 16,300 tons, Kazakhstan 5,100 tons, and 105.1 tons to Belarus. Additionally, 6,100 tons of apples were exported to Kazakhstan, 4,200 tons to Russia, and 16 tons to Mongolia.
During this period, Kyrgyzstan imported 27,966.7 tons of fruits, with apples accounting for the majority at 13,184.5 tons. The main apple suppliers were Poland (3,472 tons), China (4,777.9 tons), Iran (1,988.3 tons), and Uzbekistan (2,316.9 tons).
In the same eight-month period, Kyrgyzstan exported 43,000 tons of nuts. The primary markets for Kyrgyz nuts were Russia (26,000 tons), Turkey (26,000 tons), and Georgia (444.2 tons).
