From January to August 2024, Uzbekistan reported exports of 1.3 million tons of fruits and vegetables, with a total value of $922.8 million, as per the Uzbekistan Statistics Agency. This marks a volume increase of 9% and a value surge of 20.8% over the same timeframe in 2023.

The country has seen its agricultural products gain traction across various international markets, with notable demand in Russia, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, and Afghanistan. Russia, the largest importer, acquired 544,900 tons of these exports, equating to $407 million and representing 44.1% of Uzbekistan's total fruit and vegetable exports. Pakistan and Kazakhstan followed, importing 98,000 tons and 406,800 tons, respectively, while Afghanistan accounted for 40,200 tons.

Additional markets like Kyrgyzstan and China also played significant roles in these export figures, alongside other countries including Turkey, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Iraq, Georgia, Ukraine, Iran, the UAE, and Germany, further diversifying Uzbekistan's export geography to cover regions like Europe, the Middle East, and South Asia.
