Photo Report: Interfresh Eurasia 2024

After multiple editions of Interfresh Eurasia in the Turkish city Antalya, the exhibition has moved to Izmir this year. The venue offers more potential, as it's a bigger hall compared to its Antalya counterpart. With even more companies exhibiting than there were last year, the organization of the event was certain that this change of location would be a success.

And the exhibitors seem to agree. When asked if they feel the move to Izmir is positive for them, most people stated they see much more potential in this location. Some stayed neutral, explaining that it's still mostly the same companies, with the same people who are present. Nobody expressed the desire to go back to Antalya, which will be positive for the Interfresh Eurasia organizers.

That being said, there was a lot of talk about the difficulties of exporting certain products to the Asian market. This, of course, has to do with the difficulties surrounding the Red Sea. This makes exporting apples from Turkey to India quite troublesome, as the transit time has more than doubled and with apples being a cheap product, the margins are already quite low. Thankfully, products like cherries are still easily sent to the Asian market by airfreight.
