Vegetable and melon harvest in Kyrgyzstan sees significant increase compared to last year

Kyrgyzstan has reported a substantial rise in the harvest of vegetables and melons this year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Currently, the potato harvest has been completed on 30,500 hectares, covering 46% of the total area planted, with a yield of 1,703 kilograms per hectare. The total potato harvest reached 520,600 tons, which is an increase of 51,800 tons compared to 2023.

The overall vegetable harvest amounted to 864,000 tons, reflecting a rise of 87,200 tons from last year.

Meanwhile, melon crops produced a total of 265,100 tons, marking an increase of 65,900 tons compared to the previous year.
