Orus Logistics

"With just one click, both exporters and their customers can know where their goods are at all times"

According to figures from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), more than 6.4 million freight trucks circulate on EU roads (7.2 million, if trucks over 3.5 t from the United Kingdom are also taken into account) moving millions of tons of goods that require complex management. Looking at fruit and vegetables alone, Spain exported a total of 11.3 million tons in 2023, and these are perishable products, so any incident involving longer transit times represents an added difficulty.

"It was, in fact, my experience as a fruit and vegetable exporter from Almeria that led me to create an application to speed up communication between logistics companies and their customers, and to make it easier for exporters to find out where their goods are at any given time," says Juanjo Barrionuevo. "This is how the Orus Logistics platform, which we have launched in September 2024, was born."

"With this application, both exporters and their customers will be able to know at all times where their goods are and they'll also have an accurate prediction of their time of arrival at destination, without the need for long calls with transport companies to find out the status of their shipment."

"Real-time location information will help companies save time, costs and resources. It will also allow carriers to improve their service to their customers by streamlining communication not only in cases where goods have been shipped by a single customer, but also in cases of groupage, where the complexity of reporting incidents increases.

Orus Logistics is a global platform suitable for tracking any type of goods in land transport, and is available in 4 languages: Spanish, English, French and German. "Any transport company will be able to access the platform using the app and provide this service to its customers, for whom it will be completely free of charge."

"The application is also very intuitive and easy to use for both logistics companies and customers, and has a version for PC and another for smartphones, with which you can check the status and location or be informed about any incident anywhere and on any device.

"Our goal with Orus Logistics is to streamline communication and allow companies to optimize their time and resources, while providing exporters and customers security and transparency with their clients. We always aim to provide the best solutions, so we will remain in contact with the users to find out about their experience and listen to their suggestions, and we are open to implementing any tools they demand to make the platform 100% effective," says Juanjo. "As we all know, time is money, and with Orus Logistics we want to help manage it as efficiently as possible."
