Georgian citrus processing plant inaugurated in Adjara

In Adjara's Kobuleti seaside resort, a new citrus processing plant was inaugurated with Georgian Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, Otar Shamugia, First Vice Prime Minister Levan Davitashvili, and Adjara Government Chairman Tornike Rizhvadze in attendance. Shamugia highlighted the facility's modern technology and foreign investment backing.

Annually, the region processes 10,000 to 15,000 tons of citrus fruits, making the establishment of such a modern enterprise crucial for local agriculture. The plant is set to produce concentrated juice for the EU market, among others. This development is part of a larger investment by the Georgian-Slovak company Iberia Orbi LTD, which has contributed over EUR 3.5 million and plans further expansion.
