Peruvian blueberry season off to positive start

Berry Fresh is excited about the start of its Peruvian blueberry season. The key drivers for this season's success are its focus on flavor through proprietary genetics and long-cultivated, expert farming practices focused on quality.

The company is focused on delivering flavor-forward, premium blueberry varieties that offer an unforgettable eating experience. It focuses its genetic portfolio on varieties that deliver an elevated flavor and sweetness with the perfect crunch and vibrant color.

"We are always striving to provide consumers with the best possible blueberries, and our Peruvian farms are key to making that happen," says Jyoti Bhogal, VP of sales & marketing. "Our premium varieties are not only delicious but uphold our highest quality standards, ensuring a premium presence in store for our customers."

The company's experience comes from combining traditional farming knowledge with advanced agricultural techniques to grow premium berries that maintain their appearance, texture, and flavor on the long journey from field to shelf.

"Our long history in growing blueberries allows us to grow exceptional tasting fruit that meets the highest standards for quality," says Darren Sinn, VP of operations & supply chain.

Berry Fresh is also dedicated to improving its sustainable farming practices. Through investments in water-efficient growing systems and other sustainable-focused practices, the company and its parent company, Agroberries, continue to work towards being better for the environment.

"There is no one solution to improving agriculture's impact on the environment but we are determined to improve every aspect of our supply chain to help be a positive force in the industry and on the environment," says Sinn.

Berry Fresh is the North American headquarters for Agroberries, and a year-round grower, distributor, and marketer of premium blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries with offices and operations across the globe.
