Kishchentsi Fruits LLC invests €250,000 in advanced onion storage facility

Kishchentsi Fruits LLC is a well-known and experienced producer of vegetables in Ukraine operating in the Central part of Ukraine - Cherkasy region for several years. The enterprise already had 5 onion storage chambers with a capacity of about 7,000 tons. In the 2024 season, the company decided to built a new modern storage facility.

The decision for Ukraine is quite interesting. Onions will be stored: in one rather spacious chamber for 2.6 thousand tons with the help of original ventilation equipment of the new generation manufactured in the Netherlands with the possibility of heating with heaters for drying the product after loading.

This is the optimal solution if the products are loaded for storage wet and/or have a considerable amount of green feathers, or if the external conditions do not allow for quick drying of the onion due to the intake of external air and its exchange in the chamber. In such cases, you should use heaters," Oles Kapitanchuk, director of Tolsma Technik LLC , said.

There are not many similar solutions in Ukraine. However, there is a similar system in Cherkasy region that has been working properly for many years.

The purchased system cost the farm about €250,000, which was the investment of "Kishchentsi Fruits" LLC, no external financial instrumetns were used. SInce the company already has sorting and packaging line, this equipment was not needed for their new facility.

The newly built storage will ensure the best quality for the onions of "Kishchentsi Fruits" LLC, for the season 2024-2025. This will help to quickly recoup the investment of "Kishchentsi Fruits" LLC.
