Peak season surcharge from Latin America and the Caribbean to Europe

German container line Hapag-Lloyd has introduced a peak season surcharge (PSS) for shipments from the West Coast of Latin America, Central America, and the Caribbean to North Europe and the Mediterranean. The surcharge is set at US$900 per reefer container. This PSS will apply to all sailings commencing on 11 November and will remain in effect until further notice. For Colombia, Ecuador, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, the surcharge will be implemented starting 25 November.
