Uzbekistan to enhance grape production with South Korean agricultural technology

Uzbekistan has entered into a partnership with South Korea's TMS Global Group to introduce new grape varieties, aiming to boost local production through advanced agricultural technologies. The Agency for Plant Protection and Quarantine announced that this collaboration would focus on the development of vineyards in Uzbekistan, utilizing the cutting-edge methods provided by TMS Global Group.

TMS Global Group will bring its expertise in agricultural innovation to implement a comprehensive system for the selection, cultivation, and drying processes of the grape varieties. Company representatives recently visited Uzbekistan to evaluate the country's agricultural export potential and conducted an assessment of the Central Phytosanitary Laboratory, which is crucial for phytosanitary analyses.

During their visit, discussions on maintaining phytosanitary safety and enhancing the quality control of Uzbekistan's fruit and vegetable exports to South Korea were prominent. The partnership aims to address existing export issues and ensure compliance with South Korea's high-quality standards, thereby fostering new opportunities for grape production targeted at international markets.
