Jorge Hernández, Sales Manager of DG Fresh Avocados

"Our harvest season in Jalisco guarantees a steady supply to our customers"

The global avocado market continues to expand, and the growing interest in healthy, quality food keeps exporters constantly adapting. Avocado production, particularly in Mexico, has evolved to overcome challenges such as climate change, logistics costs and price fluctuations in the international market.

DG Fresh Avocados has consolidated its presence in global markets, standing out in destinations such as the United States, Europe and Asia. According to Sales Manager Jorge Hernández, the company has adapted to meet the growing demand, which is largely driven by interest in healthy eating and seasonal consumer preferences. "The company, with a vertically integrated supply chain, can offer a reliable and quality supply. Our harvest season in Jalisco guarantees a steady supply to our customers, which is key to staying competitive," says Hernández.

DG Fresh Avocados has implemented fertigation technologies and climate monitoring systems in its orchards to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. "These initiatives help cope with climatic variations and also make it easier to maintain the quality of the production. Moreover, we participate in reforestation projects, thereby contributing to the long-term protection of our land. Not all climate changes are adverse, and we strive to adapt to make our operations more sustainable and profitable," says Hernández.

The company expects steady growth this season, with production volumes adapted to meet the market demand. "This strategy seeks not only to expand our geographical reach, but also to introduce high-value products that can serve as a complement to avocados. Looking at the future, we aim for diversification that addresses both market expectations and our customers' needs," says Hernández.

"The company's exports, backed by certifications such as USDA, GlobalGAP and SMETA, meet international demands and are strengthening our position in a highly competitive market," he says.
