BSF seizes 5 tonnes of smuggled garlic near India-Bangladesh border

The Border Security Force (BSF) has successfully intercepted a smuggling attempt, seizing over 5 tonnes of garlic destined for Bangladesh. This operation was executed near the international border in East Khasi Hills, where 5.32 tonnes of garlic were found concealed in a jungle area.

Following the seizure, the garlic was transferred to the appropriate customs office for the necessary proceedings. This action is part of ongoing efforts to combat smuggling along the India-Bangladesh border.
