Russia plans to boost its potato imports

Russia has imported 395,500 tons of food potatoes since the start of 2024.

Since the beginning of 2024, there has been a significant increase in potato imports to Russia from some countries, as reported by the Russian Federal Service Rosselkhoznadzor. The data reveals a 60.8% increase from Belarus, amounting to 168,500 tons, followed by a more than threefold rise from China (40,000 tons) and more than sevenfold increase from Armenia (10,800 tons).

Russia plans to boost its potato imports by increasing supplies from Belarus, Egypt, Azerbaijan, China, and Pakistan.
