Bimi broccoli putting on a show at Rungis

On November 7th, a delivery trolley toured the aisles of the Rungis market to introduce, test and taste the BimiĀ®. The broccoli did not go unnoticed by fruit and vegetable wholesalers. The program included a distribution of samples, goodies, competitions to win lots of gastronomic prizes and, of course, tastings of the little green vegetable to help as many people as possible discover it.

The aim of the operation was to raise awareness of the variety and the brand. "In order to develop a new variety, it is vital to make it known to professionals in the sector. Rungis is an emblematic market, so there is no better place to carry out this kind of operation." The event took place in a strategic location and at a relevant time, which "marks the start of the winter season when cabbage consumption is at its highest."

It was a "very positive" first experience. "The feedback we got from the tastings was very good, and a real eye-opener for some of those involved. Over 400 people took part in our competition! We plan to repeat similar experiences in the near future..."
