Gemini Cooperation to launch Cape of Good Hope shipping network in February 2025

Gemini Cooperation, formed by Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd, is set to initiate bookings in early December. The container shipping alliance, launching in February 2025, has chosen to commence its operations through the Cape of Good Hope service network. This decision was made public after presenting two network options in early September: the Trans-Suez Network and the Cape of Good Hope Network. Given the continuing challenges in the Red Sea, the partners have opted for the Cape of Good Hope network for the initial phase of their collaboration.
