Egypt exports 173,000 tons of food in a week, led by sweet potatoes and citrus

The National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) disclosed that from November 23 to 29, Egypt exported 173,000 tons of various food products including vegetables, fruit, flour, and other food items. According to the NFSA's 45th report, sweet potatoes were the most exported vegetable, totaling 11,000 tons, with beans following at 8,000 tons, culminating in a total vegetable export volume of 43,000 tons. In the fruit category, citrus fruits led with 18,000 tons, and strawberries were also notable with 5,000 tons exported. The report highlighted Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Libya, and Turkey as the leading importers of Egypt's food exports.
