Armenia's fruit and vegetable exports surge to 7,575 tons in 2023

Since the onset of the current year, Armenia has reported exports totaling 7,575 tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, as per the country's agriculture ministry. The breakdown includes 2,429 tons of fruits and grapes, marking an increase from the previous year's 2,090 tons. Additionally, vegetable exports have seen a significant rise to 5,146 tons from the prior 2,049 tons. The primary destinations for these exports include Russia, Georgia, Switzerland, and Iraq. Furthermore, the National Statistical Service of Armenia highlighted that the agricultural sector's output surpassed $2.1 billion in 2015, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 11.7%. Specifically, fresh fruit exports reached 5,788 tons by February 8, 2015, a substantial increase from 3,440 tons by the same date in 2014.
