More than 20 Uzbekistani exporting companies participated in a webinar dedicated to the supply of fresh fruits and vegetables to the Swedish market, reports a correspondent from IA "Dunyo". The event, organized by the Swedish National Board of Trade "Kommerskollegium" and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Stockholm, highlighted that produce grown in Uzbekistan is mainly exported to Sweden through the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy. Therefore, possibilities for establishing warehouses and trading houses for food products, fruits, and vegetables in Stockholm and Helsingborg were explored to initiate direct export supplies.
The Swedish side presented the tariff and notary measures required for importing fresh fruits and vegetables into Sweden, the process of dealing with large retail chains, and other processes related to foreign economic activity in the country.
During the webinar, issues regarding the support of small and medium-sized business representatives from Uzbekistan and enhancing the professional potential of employees from exporting companies were discussed as part of the "Open Trade Gate" program of the trade council "Kommerskollegium".
