China's statistical service released data on tangerine importers for the first nine months of this year. Vietnam emerged as the top importer, purchasing 166,300 tons of these citrus fruits for a total of $147.7 million.
Kyrgyzstan came in second with 88,300 tons, followed by Indonesia in third with 51,800 tons and Thailand in fourth with 51,600 tons.
Russia significantly increased its tangerine imports from China during this period, growing by 2.4 times in volume to 48,500 tons. In monetary terms, this equated to $46.6 million, placing Russia fifth among the largest importers of Chinese tangerines.
