The Ministry of Economy of Armenia has presented the structure of citrus imports by country

Armenia increases citrus imports by 16.7% in 2024

Over the first 10 months of 2024, Armenia imported approximately 24,726.2 tons of citrus fruits, a 16.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023, when imports amounted to around 21,172.5 tons.

The Ministry also provided preliminary data from Armenia's Customs Service, detailing imports by specific categories and their countries of origin.

In the first 10 months of 2024, Armenia imported 10,886.4 tons of oranges from Iran, Egypt, and South Africa.

Tangerine imports amounted to 8,599 tons, primarily from Georgia, with additional supplies from Iran, Pakistan, and Egypt.

During the same period, Armenia received 4,000.7 tons of lemons from Georgia, the UAE, and Russia.

Grapefruits and pomelos totalled 1,100.5 tons, imported from Georgia, China, the UAE, and Russia. Lime imports reached 117.4 tons, sourced from Georgia, the Netherlands, and Russia. Additionally, 6.5 tons of clementines (a hybrid of mandarins and oranges) were imported from Georgia and the Netherlands.

Other citrus fruits were also imported into Armenia, with a total volume of 15.7 tons, from Georgia, the Netherlands, and Russia.
