According to Comex Stat data, Brazil's papaya export volume in November 2024 was approximately 4,000 tons, with revenue from these exports totaling just over $5 million FOB. This performance indicates stability in both volume and revenue when compared to the previous month.
From January to November 2024, Brazil saw a 16% increase in papaya exports, reaching 39,000 tons, compared to the same period in 2023. This resulted in a revenue of over $52 million FOB, a 9% growth, marking the highest result since Comex Stat began recording in 1997.
These figures suggest a positive outlook for Brazilian papaya producers, with expectations for December indicating potential record-breaking export revenues. This growth is notable for producers focusing on international markets.
The stability in November, combined with the annual growth, highlights the role of Brazilian papayas in the global market. Exporters have maintained a consistent supply of high-quality fruits, making 2024 a standout year for papaya exports in terms of volume and revenue.
