Powerful vegetable storage facilities needed in every Ukrainian region

The Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food says every region needs large vegetable storage facilities that can hold 10,000 to 20,000 tons. He stated that next year's budget includes UAH 1 billion (nearly €23 million) to support the development of livestock farming and the processing of agricultural products. This initiative also covers the construction of vegetable storage facilities.

"We need several powerful vegetable and potato storage facilities in each region. Each facility should be able to store at least 10,000-20,000 tons, located near district centers and regional hubs," the minister highlighted.

The minister also noted that a dedicated program for vegetable storage facilities must be launched next year. While international partners are currently focused on supporting small and medium-sized farmers, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy is actively urging them to include vegetable storage and processing projects in their aid programs.
