Uzbekistan extends zero customs duty on fruit and vegetable imports until 2026 to stabilize prices

In a move directed towards stabilizing consumer market prices, Uzbekistan has extended the zero customs duty rate for the import of certain fruits and vegetables until January 1, 2026. The decree, signed by the President of Uzbekistan on December 28, encompasses a variety of produce including bananas, citrus fruits, fresh or dried dates, figs, pineapples, avocados, guavas, mangoes, coconuts, apples, pears, and quinces. This extension is part of broader efforts to maintain price stability and ensure a fair competitive environment for entrepreneurs within the nation. The initiative falls under the umbrella of previous decrees aimed at fostering equitable conditions in the business landscape.
