The winter potato harvest has successfully concluded in the Jalilabad district of Azerbaijan, with yields surpassing last year's figures, according to the Jalilabad State Agrarian Development Center.
This season, winter potatoes were grown as a secondary crop on 767.9 hectares, producing over 13,054 tons of potatoes. The average yield reached 17 tons per hectare, compared to 16 tons per hectare last year.
The harvested potatoes were primarily supplied to markets in the capital.
Additionally, in 2024, farmers in Jalilabad planted spring potatoes on 2,900 hectares, yielding a total of 81,740 tons of produce.
