High-performance weighing machine AVN 112-CW 14FF

"Maximum performance using minimum of space with maximum flexibility"

At this year's Fruit Logistica, AFFELDT Maschinenbau GmbH will be putting the spotlight on its high-performance weighing machine AVN 112-CW 14FF. "This system combines maximum performance using a minimum of space with a maximum of flexibility, thanks to a modular outfeed system that can be expanded from two to four machines. With this process, we have succeeded in combining technical innovation and many years of expertise. We will demonstrate the machine together with a carousel so we can continuously show 100 discharges," says Torben Ellerbrock, Sales Manager of the Neuendorf-based engineering company.

The 14-lane weighing machine AVN 112-CW14FF is already being used in practice with
combined with flip-flop weighing containers and cross transporters. This process could theoretically be used anywhere products need to be divided between two packaging machines at high speed. At the request of the respective user, the line can also be supplied with an additional discharge system with four outlets so that it can be run on either two clippers or two vertical forms, fill and seal machines, according to Ellerbrock. The advanced solution is already being used successfully in Germany and the Netherlands, but also in Spain. The range of applications includes citrus fruits, potatoes, and onions, among others. "In addition to the above-mentioned countries, we have promising offers in France and the USA. Last year, we also installed the system for avocados, Brussels sprouts, and garlic."

Optimizations of the software
Affeldt has made slight optimizations to the original technology. Ellerbrock: "We gathered feedback from our customers and implemented it technically. We have also made optimizations to the software, for example, to reduce the filling time of the individual weighing containers."

At Fruit Logistica, the focus will also be on exchanging ideas with existing and potential new customers. "For us, the international networking for customers and sales partners is taking place right here in Berlin. In addition, our new colleague, Mr. Jörg Greiwe, is on-site to meet local agricultural customers," Ellerbrock concludes.
