Longtime vice-president Michel Biero to step down after 23 years

The emblematic vice-president of Lidl France, Michel Biero, will be leaving the company on March 1st. Michel Biero joined the German discount chain in 2001, first as executive director of purchasing and marketing, then as chairman (replaced by Irishman John Paul Scally), and finally as vice president.

Lidl wishes Michel Biero "the best of luck in his future career and thanks him for his efforts to make Lidl an ally of purchasing power," according to the company. Michel Biero joined Lidl France in 2001 as executive purchasing director, then briefly as chairman and finally vice-president.
