The charts provide a graphic representation of the volume and prices of the major commodities this week based on seasonal volume.
Avocado
Movement from Mexico crossings through Texas is expected to increase in order to meet increased retail demand in mid-February for the end of the professional football season. Trading is active at lower prices. Prices are lower. Cartons 2-layer Hass 32s are mostly 84.25-85.25, 36s are mostly 83.25-85.25, 40s are mostly 77.25-78.25, 48s are mostly 72.25-74.25, 60s are mostly 59.25-61.25, 70s are mostly 36.25-38.25, and 84s are mostly 25.25-26.25; organic 48s are 80.25-85.25. Extra services are included.
Blueberries
Movement of Peru imports, mostly via boat, through Miami, Philadelphia, and New York area ports of entry, is expected to remain about the same. Trading is moderate. Prices are generally unchanged. Flats 12 1-pint cups with lids large are mostly 20.00-22.00; Flats 12 6-oz cups with lids large are mostly 10.00-14.00; Organic Flats 12 1-pint cups with lids large are 30.00-34.00. Quality is generally good. Movement from Chile imports, mostly via boat, through the Philadelphia port of entry is expected to increase. Trading is moderate. Prices are generally unchanged. Flats 12 1-pint cups with lids large are mostly 18.00-22.00; Organic Flats 12 1-pint cups with lids large are 28.00-31.00.
Cucumber
Movement from Mexico crossings through Nogales, Arizona is expected to decrease slightly. Trading Pickles are active, others are moderate. Prices of Pickles are slightly higher; others are generally unchanged. 1 1/9-bushel cartons medium are mostly 10.95-12.95, fair quality is 8.95-10.95, ordinary quality is 4.95-6.95; small is 6.95-8.95, large are mostly 10.95-12.95. Cartons 24s are 4.95-6.95, 36s are 6.95-8.95. Pickles bushel & 40–45-pound reusable plastic containers 200-300s and 300-400s are mostly 18.95-20.95, 150-200s are mostly 16.95-18.95.
Green bell pepper
Movement from Mexico crossings through Nogales, Arizona is expected to decrease slightly. Trading is moderate. Prices are higher. 1 1/9-bushel cartons jumbo and extra-large are mostly 10.95-12.95, large is 8.95-10.95, medium is 6.95-8.95; fair quality large is 6.95-8.95, small-medium are 4.95-6.95. Quality is generally good. Movement from Central and South Florida is expected to increase. Trading is active. Prices are much higher. The price includes palletizing and precooling.
