After a good Egyptian Navel season, the focus is now on the Valencia oranges, says Rayan El Sawy, Chairman of fresh produce exporter Egyptian Emirati Import & Export: "Since our last update, we've experienced a highly successful citrus season. We began with Navel oranges, achieving growth in both European and Asian markets. Currently, we are focused on Valencia orange production. We remain dedicated to quality standards, strengthening our relationships with clients, and expanding our reach in the global citrus market."
Thanks to multiple offices, one of which being in Dubai, it's convenient for El Sawy to deal in the Middel Eastern markets. "With main offices in Cairo and Dubai, we efficiently export from Egypt to Dubai and distribute across the Middle East and Europe. Our strongest markets in recent months have been Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia, and Ukraine, where our premium citrus products are highly valued. Additionally, we're actively expanding into new markets in East Asia, while strengthening strategic partnerships in Spain, particularly in Murcia."
Despite strong competition, El Sawy emphasizes they also learn from strategic partnerships in countries like Spain:"The citrus market is currently highly competitive, with a strong focus on both price and quality. Our recent success has been driven by strategic partnerships in the Netherlands and Spain, along with continuous improvements in cultivation quality on our farms in Nubaria and Sadat City."
Mext week El Sawy will make his way to Berlin, attending Fruit Logistica, looking for new partnerships in various markets. "We are visiting Fruit Logistica, aiming to explore new markets in Africa and East Asia while expanding our network. Our goal is to open new opportunities in Europe, Africa, and Asia, building on our strong reputation in European markets and further strengthening our presence in these regions. Additionally, we are focused on expanding into Latin America."
"Our primary goal at Fruit Logistica in Berlin is to strengthen relationships with our existing clients and expand our presence in international markets. We believe that face-to-face interactions provide a stronger foundation for trust and collaboration. This exhibition allows us to connect directly with partners, fostering meaningful relationships that support long-term success. Our focus remains on building a reliable, global network that enhances our growth and the success of our clients," El Sawy concludes.
