Interko, specialized in the design, manufacture and installation of fresh fruit ripening rooms, has undergone strategic restructuring to prioritise its expertise in ripening. Last year, the ripening room expert closed its on-site sheet metal production facility and recruited additional skilled engineers to focus the entire team on the company's core mission – to develop the world's most advanced and energy-efficient ripening rooms.
With support from the University of Delft in the Netherlands, Interko's factory in Moerkapelle has been transformed. The result is a clearly organised workplace that generates a more efficient workflow. In addition, a dedicated logistics department has been established. This successful redesign has fostered harmony and productivity among staff who are thriving in a more human workplace.
