Greenfood and Odlarlaget partner to distribute Agtira’s vertically farmed cucumbers in Sweden

Greenfood is advancing its expansion strategy in Sweden by entering a new agreement with Odlarlaget, facilitating the distribution of Agtira's cucumbers through its partner network, which includes retail chains, standalone stores, and restaurants.

This agreement pertains to the majority of cucumbers produced at Agtira's new facility in Haninge. It ensures distribution between ICA Maxi Haninge and Greenfood's distribution network, managing the entire production efficiently and sustainably. The agreement supports Greenfood's goal of making sustainable food more accessible and enhances its long-term offerings.

Ted Stenshed, CEO of Greenfood Fresh Produce, stated, "Our new joint agreement with Odlarlaget enhances our competitiveness in the capital region and enables future collaborations in other locations. Products produced sustainably align perfectly with what Greenfood Fresh Produce stands for and works towards."

Agtira's vertically farmed cucumbers provide several benefits, including minimal land usage, reduced water consumption, and pesticide-free production. The production process emits no emissions into the environment. Proximity to consumers also decreases transportation needs.

Magnus Ohlqvist, Head of Business Development at Greenfood Fresh Produce, commented, "With this agreement with Odlarlaget, we are taking an important step in sustainable vegetable production and meeting new demands within this field. We are very excited about this collaboration."
