Chile's blueberry export sector shows adaptability in the 2024-2025 season. By the second week of 2025, the Chilean Fruit Blueberry Committee reported exports of 55,946 tons, with 11,767 tons shipped in early 2025. This marks a 7% increase from the 2023-2024 season but an 18% decrease from 2022-2023.
The organic blueberry segment now makes up 12% of total exports. By week 2, organic exports reached 6,759 tons, with a peak of 1,855 tons during that week.
Continental Europe remains the primary destination for Chilean blueberries, taking 41% of exports. The United States follows with 35%, while South Korea and the United Kingdom account for 8% and 7%, respectively.
These figures align closely with the Blueberry Committee's projections, showing only a 2% variance from initial estimates. This reflects the industry's strategic planning and its ability to handle challenges like global demand fluctuations and logistical issues.
Chile's blueberry export industry continues to perform, driven by varietal selection, organic production expansion, and market diversification. These elements position Chile as a key player in the global blueberry market.
